1. Introduction

Primagen Research, a sole proprietorship based in British Columbia, Canada, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

2. Who is accountable

The owner of Primagen Research is accountable for the personal information under our control and serves as our privacy contact. Reach us at primagenpeps@gmail.com, and we will identify the accountable individual on request.

3. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the store:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and password (stored in hashed form, never in plain text).
• Order information: shipping address, items ordered, order total, order status, and order history.
• Payment information: cryptocurrency transaction details and Interac e-Transfer confirmations. We never see or store your full credit card numbers, banking credentials, or cryptocurrency private keys.
• Points information: your points balance and transaction history.
• Technical information: data stored locally in your browser, such as your cart contents.

4. Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

• create and maintain your account;
• process, fulfil, and ship your orders;
• send transactional emails such as order and payment confirmations;
• operate the points program;
• verify that you meet our age and eligibility requirements;
• respond to your questions; and
• detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

We collect your date of birth specifically to verify you meet the minimum age requirement to purchase research materials. We do not use it for any other purpose.

5. Consent

By creating an account or placing an order, you consent to the collection and use described here. Marketing emails require your separate, express opt-in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. You can withdraw consent to other uses by asking us to close your account, subject to information we must keep by law.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the store, and only to the extent they need it:

• Supabase — database and account authentication;
• Resend — sending transactional email;
• NOWPayments — processing cryptocurrency payments;
• Hostinger — website hosting;
• Shipping carriers — delivering your order.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

7. Storage outside Canada

Your personal information may be stored and processed outside Canada, including in the United States, by the service providers listed above. While it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement, and government authorities under those laws.

8. Security

We protect your information with measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), database row-level security, hashed passwords, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.

9. How long we keep it

We keep account and order information for as long as your account is open and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required for tax and business records. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used;
• receive a copy of it;
• ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limits; and
• ask us to delete your account and information.

Email primagenpeps@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires. We may need to verify your identity first.

11. Browser storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember your cart between visits. This stays on your device and is not sent to us as personal information. You can clear it in your browser settings.

12. Children

This site is not directed at anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be brought to your attention.
